Rackspace integration

What is Rackspace?

Rackspace Technology is a multi-cloud solutions provider. It offers a wide range of services, including managed hosting, cloud migration and data management.

It also provides an online storage for large files and media: images, video, audio, as well as HTML, JavaScript and CSS files.

Integrating Rackspace with Buddy will allow you to automatically update your assets on every pipeline run.

Setting up Rackspace integration

  1. Open the Integrations tab and click New integration.
  2. Look up and click Rackspace (it can be found in the PaaS section):

  1. The configuration window will show up:

Here you have to provide:

  • Integration name
  • Username (Rackspace login)
  • API Key
Hint
You can adjust the privacy settings of your integration (i.e. who can use it and where) in the Sharing tab.
  1. Once done, click Add a new integration to add the integration to your roster.

Obtaining Rackspace API Key

  1. Log in to your Rackspace account and go to My Profile & Settings → Security Settings.

  1. Click Show next to Rackspace API Key and copy the key:

  1. In the integration configuration window in Buddy, enter your Rackspace login and paste the API Key:

  1. With these steps completed, click Add a new integration to finish the configuration process.

Once the integration has been added, you can start to deploy to Rackspace in your pipelines in Buddy.
