Rackspace integration

Rackspace is an online storage for large files and media: images, video, audio, as well as HTML, JavaScript and CSS files. Integrating Rackspace with Buddy will allow you to automatically update your assets on every pipeline execution.

Rackspace pipeline example in Buddy

Buddy is a pipeline delivery automation tool that integrates with Rackspace and other IaaS/PaaS. If you've never used Buddy before, this article will show you the ropes.

Setting up Rackspace integration

  1. Log in to your Rackspace account and fetch your API Key from My Profile & SettingsSecurity Settings.
  2. Go to the pipeline of your choosing and add Rackspace action from the Deploy to IaaS section: Rackspace among other IAAS actions
  3. Name your integration and provide the API Key: Adding Rackspace integration
  4. Configure your Rackspace action. Define the source of the files you want to upload, region and the Rackspace container: Configuring Rackspace action

Make sure to define the container in your Rackspace account under StorageFiles.

If you are using build actions in your pipeline, make sure to select the Filesystem as the source to deploy artifacts and processed files.
