Okta integration

What is Okta?

Okta is a cloud software that provides identity and access management solutions, allowing users to oversee and secure authentication process.

The platform offers a wide range of security features such as Single Sign-On, Adaptive Multi-factor Authentication and user Lifecycle Management. On top of that, it integrates with various popular applications, including custom-built applications.

Obtaining Okta token

1. Log in to your Okta account or register a new account.
2. In the left menu, open the Security tab and select API.
3. Copy your subdomain, in this case trial-6482489:

4. Move to the Tokens tab, generate a new token and copy it:

Setting up Okta integration

1. Sign in to your Buddy account and go to Integrations.
2. Click New integration and select Okta (it can be found in the Others section):

3. Provide the integration details:

   • integration name
   • company subdomain
   • the copied token

4. Once done, click New integration to finish configuration.

SSO synchronization with Okta

Once you've completed the integration process:

1. Go to Workspace Settings and open the Single Sign-On tab.
2. If the SSO is enabled and the integration with Okta is added, the Options tab will appear.
3. Selecting the 'Enable groups synchronization' flag will let you choose the integration and application:

4. To make sure everything works as expected, click Sync now:
