SMTP server

Configure an SMTP server in your Buddy On-Premises instance to send system emails such as invitations, password reset forms, etc., and notifications triggered by pipeline actions.

Configuring SMTP in Buddy

Follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your Buddy Enterprise instance as admin.
2. Go to the On-Premises Admin panel and switch to the SMTP tab.
3. Fill in the details of your SMTP server.

4. Click Save changes and restart Buddy to apply the changes.

Use Gmail as the SMTP server

Use these settings to use Gmail as the SMTP server:

• Name: smtp.gmail.com
• Port: 587

You must enable these two features to use Gmail as your SMTP server:

• Enable less secure apps access in your account.
• Unlock CAPTCHA for your account.
