DigitalOcean legacy token migration
Dear developers,
Last year, DigitalOcean updated the format of their API tokens to improve security and feature compatibility.
Beginning March 31, 2023, all DigitalOcean users who have not migrated to the new version of tokens will lose read/write access to the DigitalOcean API.
What you need to do
If you integrate with Buddy using the Personal Access Token, make sure to regenerate it to the new version in DigitalOcean and update your Buddy integration. This concerns both cloud and on-premises versions of Buddy.
If you integrate with Buddy using the OAuth integration, it depends on the type of the account:
- Cloud accounts – we have refreshed the tokens for you. You don't need to do anything.
- On-premises accounts – go to the details of your DigitalOcean integration and click Refresh OAuth Token:

Make sure to update your configuration in advance to avoid unnecessary disturbance to your workflow!
