New action: AWS App Runner
The App Runner is the newest addition to the Amazon services that can be automated by Buddy. Delivered in response to popular demand, the feature is broken into two actions:
- App Runner Deploy – lets you deploy containerized web applications and API's to AWS.
- App Runner Monitor – waits until
operation_in_progress
has finished and checks the status of the deployed application.
Depending on the user workflow, the App Runner actions can be freely combined with builds, tests, and notifications and are usually placed towards the end of the process:

Configuration
The actions can be found, rather unsurprisingly, in the AWS section of the action roster:

Configuration is very straightforward and requires providing the AWS region and the resource name of the service (ARN):

Additionally, the monitoring action lets you define the maximum number of seconds after which it calls a timeout if no response from the application is registered.
